Ook ik heb met stijgende verbazing zitten kijken naar wat dhr Gaus te vertellen had over Cesar. Iemand die het veel beter verwoorden kan als ik, schreef er een stukje over met de betreffende filmbeelden eronder: http://siriusproductions.wordpress.com/
Op zijn eigen blog zwakt dhr Gaus nu meteen alles af, nee hoor hij vindt Cesar fantastisch,duh! Zie hier de blog
Wat zegt Cesar zelf over al die felle commentaren op hem? :
“I am constantly amazed at the attitude of some ‘positive reinforcement only’ trainers who say hateful things in the press about those they don’t agree with (including, and sometimes especially, me!)I try really hard not to take it too personally because I believe America is all about being entitled to your own opinions … but come on! Aren’t these the same people who are supposed to be all about changing behaviour through rewards and not through punishment? Doesn’t that apply to human beings as well as dogs? I believe that when you use positive reinforcement or any kind of behaviour modification method with your dog, the key to your succes always starts with your own state of mind”
Mijn mening? Geen enkele methode is zaligmakend voor elke hond of baas, zeker niet zonder begeleiding. Zie alles en behoudt het goede! Maar de rustige ,duidelijke en respektvolle omgang met baas én hond van Cesar spreekt me erg aan. Beetje zoals bij paarden Monty Roberts(The Horse Whisperer), of Pat Parelli ,waar Cesar trouwens ook mee samengewerkt heeft, die veel goed werk doen en gedaan hebben in de verbetering van de omgang met paarden.
